VMware today annouced the Project Octopus at VMworld which is in my opinion a game changer for the End User Computing space. Loads of thousand of professionals are using technologies like Dropbox without notice of the companies IT. With that they companies are running in security but more in compliance issues. Project Octopus will take care about that. The data can stay in the private cloud owned by the customer or in a datacenter of the partner of your choice.
