There are two types of Linux clients for VMware View. The standard Linux Client which is only available through the thin client vendors which have certified there devices for View but there is another version which can be downloaded from the Google Code Community. The client is open source under GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 (LGPL v 2.1.). Download the software under: http://code.google.com/p/vmware-view-open-client/.

What can the client do:

• RSA SecureID authentication
• Novell SLETC Add-On RPM Packet
• Command line interface

What are the limitations:

• No USB redirection
• Multiple desktop sessions
• Multimedia redirection
