Tinycore Builder available at new address
A few month ago we’ve published an article on a free repurposing PC solution for VMware View. Tinycore Builder is a website which helps you to generate a minimal size, bootable ISO image with a built-in VMware View client. (Link)

VMware View Direct Client Download Site
It was brought to my attention that there is a VMware View Client Download website available where you can directly download all VMware View clients, including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and so on. You’ll not need to login with your VMware ID.

VMware View Open Client 4.0.0 Beta 1
Duncan Epping brought to my attention that the VMware View Open Client is now available in Version 4.0.0. Beta 1. You can download it from the Google Code Website as usual. Please check the release announcement for details on the new version.
VMware View Open Client for OSX
Nice article on Peterro.com is showing how to install a VMware View Open Client for OSX. There are two know issues, one with the sound redirection and one with the Alt-F4 keyboard Combination but it’s worth to give it a try!
VMware View Open Client Beta 3.1
There is a new beta version of the View Open Client available for download at the Google Code community. One of the new features is smart card support. To allow that you’ve to copy your PKCS#11 modules in /usr/lib/vmware/view/pkcs11 and use Rdesktop version 1.5.0 as minimum. A detailed description can be found in the readme.txt file within the download package.
